POW 16 comes equipped with a CE-Certified full back protector (Lev.1) by SAS-TEC, that’s made of flexible viscoelastic foam with memory effect that returns to its original shape after impact or deformation.
HYDRATION-TECH MADE FOR ALPINE CONDITIONS
The pack has room for 16L of storage and can fit up to a 3L hydration bladder (not included), so you can pack the essentials for your adventure while remaining light weight.
Hate it when your water freezes? We sure do. That’s why we’ve integrated the Thermo Cell insulation pocket on the shoulder straps that encapsulates the heat from physical activity to protect the drink tube from freezing even in the most extreme winter conditions. These pockets are also perfect for storing snacks. The Thermo Cell technology requires that you produce body heat, that you’re using layers of clothes that’re breathable, and that you keep the zippers to the insulated pocket closed while in action.
CARRY YOUR STUFF
At the back there’s a quick access Avalanche Equipment pocket, where you can store your safety gear. There’s also an external helmet carry system, a snowboard carry system, and the ski carry system on the side. The waist belt got two quick access pockets and the pack got a google pocket where you can also safely store your precious goggles. We even threw in a microfiber cleaner tissue… we thought of everything! If you want a slim profile, you can tuck everything together with the outside compression system.

SKI/SNOWBOARD CARRY SYSTEM
This pack was designed to make your climb up the mountain a lot easier by letting you attach your skiis or snowbaord to the back of the backpack. Just use the two straps on each side of the pack to attach your skiis or use the two straps crossing the wide part of the pack to attach your snowboard. It’s super easy!
MULTI-ADJUSTABLE BACK PANEL
The harness is attached to the backplate using velcro, detach the harness to reveal multiple harness size markings stemming from 1-10. Use these markings as a guide and test your way to the correct setting. Taller or bigger people usually find the best setting around 5-10 and shorter people usually find a good fit at 1-5. For women the harness settings could be slightly different. Always try aligning the buckle under the chest for optimal support and if you have a larger chest try using a larger harness setting.
THERMO CELL TECHNOLOGY
Thermo Cell is equipped with a multilayer insulation cover that reflects the heat on the inside and shields from the cold and wind from the outside. By its design, the Thermo Cell closes tightly to the body and a thin mesh membrane permits maximum body heat to pass through. Used in this way the body heat feeds the Thermo Cell with thermal energy. Smart!
Thermo Cell encapsulates heat from physical activity in an insulating air pocket that protects the tube and bite valve from freezing even in the most extreme winter conditions. Therefore, we have chosen to provide both shoulder straps on the NORDIC, HAJKER, POW and BRANT backpacks with Thermo Cell so that you get the option of choosing which side you want to have the tube in tube, or having tubes on both sides (double hydration bladders). Or optional, why not store gels and bars that you easily reach on-the-go in the pocket you don’t use.
HOW DO I FIND MY MEASUREMENT?
With the NDM 2.0 harness we measure the size by using the “Torso Size” Measurement. It’s actually it’s super easy to make your own size measurement and check if a pack works for you. All you have to do is measure your body height from your hip bone to your shoulders/collarbone (See picture below). You’ll find the “Torso Fit Range” in the specifications tab.
HOW DO I SET UP THE HARNESS?
Step 1: The harness is attached to the backplate using velcro, detach the harness to reveal multiple harness size markings stemming from 1-10. Step 2: Once you’ve found the perfect harness setting you’re almost done. Now you need to use the Snug-Me System to embraces the whole torso for a secure and bounce free fit. While wearing the bag simply grab both parts of the belt, one in each hand and hold them in the height of your hip belt by your hips. Now pull the straps forward and away from your hips. This will allow the entire strap to simultaneously tighten from your hips to the chest. Once you’ve found the perfect amount close the bukle and tighten the straps until they are comfortably tight.
