CARVE is a winter skiing backpack made with an outstanding form fit for your alpine and snowmobile adventures. The pack comes with our bounce free No Dancing Monkey™ 2.0 + Snug-Me harness system for the absolute best and tightest fit without cramping your style.
Do you hate it when your water freezes? We sure do! The included Thermo Cell insulation technology uses your body heat to protect the drinking tube and the pockets on the shoulder straps, perfect for storing gels and food. The compression sleeve keeps the hydro pack in a tight and secure position (Hydration bladder is not included).
If you got some stuff you need to bring along CARVE got you covered with a ski and snowboard carrier system, a quick access avalanche equipment pocket, helmet carry system, goggle pocket (we even threw in a microfiber cleaner tissue) and all that good stuff. In total it has 25 liters of storage for personal gear and safety equipment with room for a hydration pack up to 3L in size (not included). You also got two zippered quick access pockets on the hip belt, maybe good for a knife in case you see a bear? Nah we’re just kidding, don’t hurt the animals!
The CARVE has a super ventilated back panel, and an outside compression system for a slim profile.
All in all, The CARVE gives a super-snug but comfortable fit that makes you feel free and safe while attacking the mountain.

MULTI-ADJUSTABLE BACK PANEL
The harness is attached to the backplate using velcro, detach the harness to reveal multiple harness size markings stemming from 1-10. Use these markings as a guide and test your way to the correct setting. Taller or bigger people usually find the best setting around 5-10 and shorter people usually find a good fit at 1-5. For women the harness settings could be slightly different. Always try aligning the buckle under the chest for optimal support and if you have a larger chest try using a larger harness setting.
NDM 2.0 + SNUG ME + THERMO CELLWith the No Dancing Monkey™ 2.0 harness system you get extra stability with the added belt around the waist when you need to carry heavier equipment in your pack. The stretch in the chest straps expands along with the chest during physical exertion, allowing a constant tight and compliant fit. The shoulder straps are ergonomically designed for comfortable and smooth distribution over the shoulders and the back panel that can easily be adjusted up and down for individual fit and size which makes the pack feel tailored for your body.

THERMO CELL TECHNOLOGY
Thermo Cell is equipped with a multilayer insulation cover that reflects the heat on the inside and shields from the cold and wind from the outside. By its design, the Thermo Cell closes tightly to the body and a thin mesh membrane permits maximum body heat to pass through. Used in this way the body heat feeds the Thermo Cell with thermal energy. Smart!
Thermo Cell encapsulates heat from physical activity in an insulating air pocket that protects the tube and bite valve from freezing even in the most extreme winter conditions. Therefore, we have chosen to provide both shoulder straps on the NORDIC, HAJKER, POW and BRANT backpacks with Thermo Cell so that you get the option of choosing which side you want to have the tube in tube, or having tubes on both sides (double hydration bladders). Or optional, why not store gels and bars that you easily reach on-the-go in the pocket you don’t use.
HOW DO I FIND MY MEASUREMENT?
With the NDM 2.0 harness we measure the size by using the “Torso Size” Measurement. It’s actually it’s super easy to make your own size measurement and check if a pack works for you. All you have to do is measure your body height from your hip bone to your shoulders/collarbone (See picture below). You’ll find the “Torso Fit Range” in the specifications tab.
HOW DO I SET UP THE HARNESS?

Step 2: Once you’ve found the perfect harness setting you’re almost done. Now you need to use the Snug-Me System to embraces the whole torso for a secure and bounce free fit. While wearing the bag simply grab both parts of the belt, one in each hand and hold them in the height of your hip belt by your hips. Now pull the straps forward and away from your hips. This will allow the entire strap to simultaneously tighten from your hips to the chest. Once you’ve found the perfect amount close the bukle and tighten the straps until they are comfortably tight.
