A Perfect Fit
As an extra performance feature, the pack comes with a multi-size adjustable heat pressed back panel that allows you a wide range of individual settings. For optimal fit we specially designed two different packs that are gender specific with a smaller frame for women and larger for men.
Stop Your Hydration From Freezing With Thermo Cell
At the shoulder straps there’re an integrated Thermo Cell insulation technology, that will protect your hydration tube and nutrition from freezing even during gnarly winter conditions. Organized Storage
There are 11 pockets in total on the pack, including a big main compartment with a large back zippered access for dry layers and hydration, a top mounted pocket with a zippered closure for easy access essentials, a quick stash pocket and an external zippered pocket, two (2) zippered side pockets at the waist belt for personal items, and a quick access zippered bottom pocket for your avalanche equipment. The pack comes with a diagonal and A-frame ski carrier system, front snowboard fixation system, a stow away ice axe/pole fixation and rope attachment points.
Equipped With RECCO
RECCO is a rescue technology used by organised rescue teams as an additional tool to more quickly locate people buried by an avalanche or lost in the outdoors. The system is based on a harmonic radar system and composed by a detector and a passive reflector integrated into outdoor clothing and gear. The reflectors do not replace personal transceivers and companion rescue but dont need to be turned on and provide a back-up to always be searchable to professional rescuers. Ice Axe/Pole
You guys asked for it and we listened! That’s why we designed this backpack so you can easily attach a ice axe/pole to it. The bungee cord combined with a Velcro flap at the bottom keeps the axe in a steady position at all times.
Zippered Backplate Access
The backpack features a big main compartment that is perfect for storing dry layers and hydration. The large backplate zippered access allows you to easily access and organize all your gear.
Ski/Snowboard Carry System
This pack was designed to make your climb up the mountain a lot easier by letting you attach your skis or snowboard to the back of the backpack. Just use the two straps on each side of the pack to attach your skiis or use the two straps crossing the wide part of the pack to attach your snowboard. It’s super easy!
Avalanche Equipment Pocket
A quick access zippered bottom pocket is included for your avalanche equipment, allowing you to easily and quickly access the tools and equipment you need in the event of an emergency.
Waist Belt
A waist belt is included for extra load support. It includes 2x side zippered side pockets for easy-access storage of small items.
Helmet Carrier
The backpack features a helmet carrier system that can be attached on the outside of the backpack made specifically for ski helmets. This system allows you to secure your helmet to the outside of the backpack, keeping your hands free and your helmet protected while you’re on the move.
Thermo Cell Technology
Thermo Cell is equipped with a multilayer insulation cover that reflects the heat on the inside and shields from the cold and wind from the outside. By its design, the Thermo Cell closes tightly to the body and a thin mesh membrane permits maximum body heat to pass through. Used in this way the body heat feeds the Thermo Cell with thermal energy. Smart!
Thermo Cell encapsulates heat from physical activity in an insulating air pocket that protects the tube and bite valve from freezing even in the most extreme winter conditions. Therefore, we have chosen to provide both shoulder straps on the NORDIC, HAJKER, POW and BRANT backpacks with Thermo Cell so that you get the option of choosing which side you want to have the tube in tube, or having tubes on both sides (double hydration bladders). Or optional, why not store gels and bars that you easily reach on-the-go in the pocket you don’t use.
HOW DO I FIND MY MEASUREMENT?
With the NDM 2.1 harness we measure the size by using the „Torso Size“ Measurement. It’s actually it’s super easy to make your own size measurement and check if a pack works for you. All you have to do is measure your body height from your hip bone to your shoulders/collarbone (See picture below). You’ll find the „Torso Fit Range“ in the specifications tab.
HOW DO I SET UP THE HARNESS?
Step 1: The harness is attached to the backplate using velcro, detach the harness to reveal multiple harness size markings stemming from 1-10. Use these markings as a guide and test your way to the correct setting. Taller or bigger people usually find the best setting around 5-10 and shorter people usually find a good fit at 1-5. For women the harness settings could be slightly different. Always try aligning the buckle under the chest for optimal support and if you have a larger chest try using a larger harness setting.
Step 2:Once you’ve found the perfect harness setting you’re almost done. Now all you need to do is tighten the chest straps until comfortable, close the waist belt buckle and tighten the straps to your pleasing, the straps are elastic and should give a smooth and comfortable fit.
